Team Maximum Service Racing is comprised of Cormac & Nick Wyatt.
They have been involved in R/C Racing since early 2001. Nick has a history being involved in custom car building, drag racing & hill climbing. He built his first car when he was 17.

Jumping back to 2001, when Cormac was 12, they got into the R/C world when seeing the 1/5th Scale cars going around a track in Dublin.
Soon enough Nick got involved, getting his first 1/5th Scale, a Bergonzoni. Cormac was content with a 1/10th Scale Serpent car at the time.

In 2002 Nick raced over to the UK a couple of times and was part of a group of 5 Irish drivers who represented Ireland at the European Championships, the very first time Ireland had been represented! Nick was the best finished Irish driver at the Euro’s.
As well as this Cormac won the Kerry Model Car Club 1/10th Championship.

In 2003 Nick changed to a different make of 1/5th Scale called Technokit. It was also Cormac’s turn to be in a 1/5th Scale racing a Technokit. It was a good year for Nick as he won the Irish National Championship as well as finishing a fantastic 10th in the EFRA British GP, a result at the same event would not be beaten until 2007!
Both Nick & Cormac represented Ireland, along with 2 others, at the Euro’s in 2003.

In 2004 both Cormac & Nick represented Ireland at the Euro’s in Croatia where Nick raced in 4 finals! Cormac had bad luck at that event. As well as this they travelled to the UK a number of times for the British Championship.

At the end of 2004 Nick decided to retire from 1/5th Scale Racing to concetrate on Cormac, so he became Cormac’s mechanic.
Since then they have forged a good partnership and tried their best to have fun, enjoy the racing & do as good as they can.

Their has been good times and bad times but what they always aim to go away from a race with a positive outlook and something new in their head. You are always learning new things.

What is good about Nick & Cormac’s partnership is that although Nick does all the mechanical work on the car and set-up Cormac is able to tell him what is wrong and what needs to be changed, whether it be set-up, tyres or bodyshell. And like all good partnerships things can get heated but its only driven by passion. The passion to do the best they can, the passion to get the car right & the passion of enjoying 1/5th Scale Racing.

What Nick & Cormac love most about 1/5th Scale Racing is meeting people, making friends & having a laugh at an event. Over the 10+ years in racing they have made lots of friends, some enemies but have created many memories!
